Here are some of the layouts that I did in 2008...from January to March/April. Hopefully I will be scrapbooking again in 2009 and I'll start posting new creations very soon.

It's been SO LONG!!!!!

YOUPPIE....I actually scrapbooked last night!!!! It's been a LONG LONG LONG time since I last sat down and really wanted to do it...but I started cleaning out my scrap space (AGAIN) last night, and I discovered this 2-page layout kit that I had purchased at Dawn's CAT'S KABOOSE
store in Strathroy :) I had done the first page (pictured here), but I hadn't finished the second page (with the tree)...so I sat down last night, and scrapbooked while I watched the Spice Girls Reunion special

I ended up changing the format of this layout, since I was using a vertical photo instead of a horizontal one...so I made a few changes and also added my special touches ~ the LOVE script letters that I drew and cut out by hand :)

WOW...this is the layout I did last night. I had already cut out the background papers, the scallop at the bottom, but I hadn't even done the tree, flowers, etc... So this is what took me about 3 hours to finish ~ the cute little circles (all hand-cut and different sizes), the trunk, the flowers and the letters...which all had to be inked afterwards too!

But it was so much fun!!!! Here is the finished layout :)

*these two layouts were made from a pre-made kit, with Basic Grey Mellow papers (LOVE this line!), buttons, dmc floss, rhinestones (I added the brown Doodlebug ones)

I made these 2 recipe cards for a swap I participated in ~ we exchanged 2 cards each, and after we met up to trade them, we had 16 cards for our new recipe box/swap :) FUN, FUN!!!

Yes, I may have said that I didn't scrapbook for 4 months, but that doesn't mean I haven't been stocking up for the colder Fall & Winter months ehehehehhe :) Here are my latest goodies ~ I really, really can't wait to find my mojo and start scrapbooking!!!

With A Twist ~ an Etsy shop that I absolutely adore!!! Tara is the sweetest and offers the most amazingly beautiful ribbons & flowers packages, and also hand-made buttons. She has many other little goodies that just make my heart flutter...definately beautiful, colorful goodies to make my pages pop!!!

Also notice the beautiful crunched up blossoms that she makes out of paper scraps...they are GORGEOUS!!!!

Every Jot & Tittle ~ another favorite Etsy Shop that I love! She makes the most amazing tags/journaling tags ever :)

May Third ~ an Etsy Shop with a lot of different journaling tags...perfect additions for my pages :)

Tattered Tags ~ an Etsy shop...I just adore these painted felt butterflies and I can't wait to use these!!!

Red Velvet Kit Club ~ Elsie's sister Emma and her best friend Rachel have started Red Velvet Kit Club...these were part of their "extras" sale. I love little doodads like this :)

Love, Elsie Lola & Riley collections ~ my friend Jennifer got these for me at Hobby Lobby!!! OMG I was so happy :) LOVING the colors and patterns in this collection.

Jack & Abbie Collection ~ WOW...now this is DEFINATELY my favorite collection of the Love, Elsie lines!!!! Dark fall'ish colors....so perfect for Fall/Autumn pictures!

Elle's Studio and The Livingroom Floor ~ 2 more Etsy shops that I love :) Fun stuff!!!

The Looks ~ these little handmade crochetted blossoms are the cutest!!! The girls will take custom orders and have every color under the sun...so perfect for my new pages! You can get 1 layer blossoms, as well as 2 layers and 4 layers... (the red on the left side has 2 layers)...LOVE THESE!!!

The School Locker ~ I adore buttons, and she has so many in her Etsy shop... I can't resist!

Niklin Designs ~ WOW...this girl has AMAZING die-cuts in her Etsy shop...so many colors and patterns to choose from too!

Lisa's Scrap Shack ~ I love this store...got a lot of my new Fancy Pants goodies (felt shapes, pins, crocheted posies, chipboard buttons, papers, etc...) Urban Lily papers, more AC Thickers, Foof-a-La buttons (OMG I didn't realize how big these bags were!!!) and cute little Queen & Co. brads :)

Your Story Kits ~ this was their last kit...OMG I love this new Scenic Route!!! Gotta love it :)

Elsie Challenge #15 ~ Scraplift an Idea!

I love the way Elsie lets some of her journaling strips or ribbons pop off her page, so I decided to do this with my title for this layout. I let the MM jigsaw chipboard alphas go off the page :) It was fun...oh, and I also scrapbooked 8.5"x11" ~ something I usually don't do too often!!!

My newest layouts ~ Yeppers, I've scrapbooked in our new house ehehehhehehe :) I got the essentials out (tools, pens, adhesives, etc...) and looked for my goodies for each layout.

I'm so anxious to get everything organized! Too bad I can't add a few hours to everyday to that I can fix/do everything on my daily to-do lists that are getting HUGE and BIGGER every day it seems! Oh well...heheheheh the joys of moving!

I finished up 2 more layouts for the Elsie challenges over at Sarah's Shabby Shoppe...these are so much fun!!!

For the 4th Challenge (make your own Chipboard Accents)...I made my own poker chips for the title :) They were so much fun to do!

I made the Design Team aka "Construction Crew" over at Sarah's Shabby Shoppe. It's been about 1 month now ~ I can't believe I forgot to post about this! ehehehehehe :)

Anyways, here are some layouts that I've made for a few of the challenges.

For the March Contest, Maya Road has donated BEAUTIFUL prizes for 3 Lucky Winners. Here's my layout using the Maya Road Chipboard.

(I used Doodlebug simply sweet lily white alphabet stickers, Scenic Route white chipboard alphabets, Maya Road fresh chipboard "vineyard" swirls and brackets, Prima flowers, MM crystal brads- circle lights, MM scrapbook colors "manilla", and Bohemia overlay frame)

The fun part about being on the CCrew is doing the Elsie Challenges every week. I made this as a little intro for my Challenge section :) I wanted to use my "Happy Corrina" Elsie stamps, but they were too small, so I drew them out and added yummy colors. This was so much fun to do!!!! I added fabric paint, a chipboard arrow (from Tara), some buttons, flowers and ribbon.

New Layouts and Cards

We had a HUGE online crop over at SSShoppe this weekend!!! What fun :) There were over 20 different challenges and games throughout the weekend!

Here are all of the layouts that I've been doing since Friday night :D

LOVE ~ This challenge was called "Colors of Love" and we had to use only white, pink, red and black for our layout :)

It's all About the Bling... and Heidi Swapp Lipshine! ~ This was for a 5 embellies x 5 times challenge. We had to choose 5 embellishments (flower bunches, rhinestone brads, buttons, ribbons and journaling spots) and use them 5 times!!!! It was a real challenge but I LOVE the way this layout turned out :D

Thankful ~ This layout was for a "C.A.S.E. Challenge" The woman posting had a layout and we had to scraplift it. It was called C.A.S.E. which stands for "COPY AND STEAL EVERYTHING" ehehhehehehe :)

You Gotta LOVE ~ This challenge was to use the "YOU Gotta Love" in your title and it also had to have a HUGE heart in it :)

What I Love About you! ~ This challenge was called "What I like About You", but I changed mine from like, to LOVE! This picture is from Kennedy's 2nd birthday party :)

You Are Mine ~ "LOVE that Line" was the name of this challenge. You had to use 90% of the same product line for your layout. This one had 90% of KI Memories. The only product that wasn't KI Memories was the Daisy D's rubon for the title.

Thinking of you ~ This was a fun and easy challenge; to use up 5 scraps of patterned papers and to add 5 buttons :)

You're invited... ~ This card was to be done on Bazzill Bling, and had to have a heart on it, but the heart needed to be used with an unconventional heart color.

Jacob's Ladder mini-album

I was over on a MB this morning and the owner had a challenge to make a Jacob's Ladder type mini-album and that there was a MEGA-MONSTER RAK involved for whoever would tackle this ....so I did one and here it is :D

Yeppers, I'm still scrapbooking!!!

Some thought I was on a month long break, but I'm not!!!

I'm currently doing 3 contest! One at Sassacraft for 4 consecutive weeks (doing 3rd week as we speak), and I'm also in an Idol Competition ~ was personally asked to join, which was a big honour!!!!

Also entering the CK Hall of Fame 2007 Competition this year!!! I've got 8 layouts ready, and I'm working on the last 2 layouts! I almost gave up a few weeks ago, but then I got my MOJO back and I've been going strong since :D

I'll be able to post my SC layouts as soon as the month is over, so stayed tuned, for 4 new layouts, a few cards and altered items too :D

Here is Kennedy's little ABC tin. I used a pack of flash cards (Upper and Lower alphabet in one pack) and cut out the pictures, the index (letter and picture) and also the letters and just attached them onto white cardstock mini-files (that I made). Then I glued it down to colored cardstockI kept the cards simple, since I didn't want them to be over-stimulated!!!

This layout is based on a layout by Vicki Boutin - I took the sketch and made it my own. I also decided to put this under the "Everything old is New Again" DT Challenge for October. Assignment #2

I made a tag to put into the top of the card. It slides into the circle (that I cut with the x-acto knife.I made the tag out of cardstock, painted it and then attached the ribbon and the HS chipboard circle on with the rhinestone brad. I wrote the journaling and added the MM enamel charm and the dymo word. I then inked the whole tag.

Here is the little band-aid tin with the topper

The color swatches that I made with Disney Paint Chips (from Home Depot). I added BOBARBO

rubons for the color words in French, English and Swedish - the 3 languages in our household.

Assignment #2 - Page elements (topper/tag)

For this tin, I decided to make the topper using some of the embellishments. I used the WRMK square snaps and the enamal heart. I used a MM poolside chipboard alpha, painted the K and raised it with pop-up dots. I then attached the snaps onto the chipboard, added some organza ribbon and placed the heart on top I made little color swatches from Disney Paint Chips and I used BOBARBO rubons to add the English, French & Swedish color words on them. I then got them laminated at Staples and I attached them with a bead chain. They fit perfectly inside the little band-aid tin!

I love this photo of Kennedy. She just loves to pose for the camera. I did this one for the online cropping tonight - it was fun! I sewed the sequins around the perimeter of the layout - it was fun but I had to go slowly to get the sequins into the line of sewing hehehehe I also dry-brushed the white/spotlight paint onto the "P" monogram

I cut out some flowers from the sheet to add to the layout. For the flower, I added a concho on top of the HS floral center, then attached the chipboard charm with a ribbon - I altered the charm (it read "Sweetie" but I changed it to "my sweeties")I hand-wrote the title and journaling --- Last Year, Martin & the kids bought me a Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Family Tree and I just adore it. Now, every year I'll receive new photo holders; I'm so lucky!(I'm really lucky - I already got/found my new frames (in the picture/w the frame))

Holy Colorful papers - but I had so much fun with these!!!! Those pictures of Kennedy went perfectly with them. I hand-wrote "Colorful", "Creative" and "Imagination" on the photos using the DoodleBug font (I didn't have the right size - small was too small and Medium was just not right hehehehe ). I love that font, but sometimes I run out of rubons, so I just hand-write them out!!!!For the CRAYOLA letters, I took my BG monograms and got them photocopied to a smaller font. Then I cut out the monograms in the 3 BG papers that are REALLY colorful and have COOL patterns

I used BG black tie papers, black cardstock, white primas, brad snaps and brads, and white CBX stickers. The only colored items I added are the 5 colored letters * BLACK AND WHITE CHALLENGE

I just love this picture of Kennedy sitting on her little chair. She was just relaxin' and watching her favorite show.

I used our new Kaleidoscope 3 papers and embellies - this one was the "happy" line I cut out smaller BG letters in the Kaleidoscope red paper, and cut the polka-dotted paper with certain dots left on it, to place it on top of the red paper, then added the prima flowers to hide the seam. The polka dots look like they fit in the line...I added some doodlebug rubons on the "happy" circle title and of course added another little prima * kept this one simple - and used my colors in the "TRAVEL CHALLENGE" and the "NO CARDSTOCK CHALLENGE"

I was inspired to do the little butterflies, while watchin' a children's cartoon called "Charlie and Lola". The opening credits had little butterflies flying everywhere on the screen and I got this great idea for a layout. Of course, my other inspiration was this picture of Kennedy. I took this pic on our white duvet, and added little sunflowers. She was only 2 weeks old then.

I used different patterned papers, yellow/buttercup Bazzill, stardust pen (the trails behind the butterflies), Heidi Swapp rhinestones (for the butterflies' bodies) and I hand-drew the title and cut it out. I made the little butterflies too

OMG I just loved doing this photo shoot of Kylan & Kennedy!!!! We had so much fun!!! Martin blew bubbles, while I took the pics.

I used Wild Asparagus papers, Market Tag *silly* (thanks Tara ), Heidi Swapp ghost letters ~ I inked the back with "midnight blue" Staz-On ink......I love the effect!!! I also used BOBARBO rubons, MM circle clip, American Craft ribbon, buttons and Prima flowers

A picture of Kennedy that I took yesterday(Feb. 2006)

* I thought this quote was perfect for Kennedy since she loves to smile, giggle but doesn't seem to want to talk - she talks when she wants to, but normally just looks, and points. She's a very smart cookie and it absorbing everything. I know when she starts, she won't stop.

She's such a little poser - little miss photogenic (takes after her brother )- used American Crafts patterned papers (Thanks Amberley!)*** for the title, I used the outline of the AC milan white letters and placed it onto the pink pp, then cut out around the white stickers to form a slim pink outline
