Québec

This is for this week's challenges (sketch, muted colors, photo groupings/gatherings, vacation photos and 1-word title with rare font). I used my Québec City Vacation pictures from last October when Martin brought me to Québec. It was soooooooooo romantic!!!
I decided to incorporate all 5 challenges into 1 2-page layout again this time ~ Becky's sketch, Muted Cosmo Cricket papers/colors, 1- word title with font used for the 1st time, Vacation photos and photo groupings on both layouts/pages

Here is my layout for the November "Scrapbook your Halloween Pictures" Challenge.
This was so much fun!!! I knew I needed this Halloween stuff from KI Memories when I saw it ~ it's sooooooooo cute and colorful. That's why I decided to change my picture to Black & White, because Kennedy's Beanie Baby costume didn't match the papers hehehehe :)

Kennedy's ABC tin

Here is Kennedy's little ABC tin. I used :* Christina Cole patterned papers* Basic Grey monograms (to trace)* Bazzill Bitty Blossoms (orange flower)* Prima Forever Flowers (red flower)* Making Memories flower brad* Chatterbox orange ribbon (around the top of the tin)* Offray orange satin ribbon (on the handle)* American Craft black marker
I used a pack of flash cards (Upper and Lower alphabet in one pack) and cut out the pictures, the index (letter and picture) and also the letters and just attached them onto white cardstock mini-files (that I made). Then I glued it down to colored cardstockI kept the cards simple, since I didn't want them to be over-stimulated!!!

This was an awesome challenge!!!~ I used the Basic Grey pp (Urban Couture - Gabardine) with the swirls and flourishes on it~ I folded over a corner of the photo~ I used Making Memories rhinestone brads on the prima flowers~ I used my hole punch (two different sizes) to punch holes on certain flourishes (burgundy cardstock is showing through)

I did this layout for Ali's 4th Challenge from AEzine (Photo Gatherings challenge). I had taken this photo of me with my Nikon - 16-continuous shots and I loved the way it turned out, so I decided to use it for this challenge. Even though the Photo Gathering had to be done in Photoshop, I thought outside the box and used this photo instead of my Photo Collage that I did the other day ~ that one still needs tweaking ehhehe :)

A Pirate's Life for Me

Little Angel

This layout is based on a layout by Vicki Boutin - I took the sketch and made it my own. I also decided to put this under the "Everything old is New Again" DT Challenge for October. I used deco scissors on the photo (right side) and also used punches for the little pink flowers.I've scrapbooked this photo before, but I just had to use the feather wings I found at the Dollar store, so I knew this photo would be perfect for this.

It was a challenge to do a layout called "This month" and you had to describe what you did in the month of Sept - for all of your family members (using creative journaling; bullet list, short form,...)It was soooooooo much fun using my scraps too ~ something I haven't done in a while!!! Our Wedding Album

My life is Complete (card) - DT Assignment

Assignment #2
I made a tag to put into the top of the card. It slides into the circle (that I cut with the x-acto knife.I made the tag out of cardstock, painted it and then attached the ribbon and the HS chipboard circle on with the rhinestone brad. I wrote the journaling and added the MM enamel charm and the dymo word. I then inked the whole tag.

Kennedy's Color Tin - DT Assignment

Here is the little band-aid tin with the topper



The color swatches that I made with Disney Paint Chips (from Home Depot). I added BOBARBO
rubons for the color words in French, English and Swedish - the 3 languages in our household.



Assignment #2 - Page elements (topper/tag)
For this tin, I decided to make the topper using some of the embellishments. I used the WRMK square snaps and the enamal heart. I used a MM poolside chipboard alpha, painted the K and raised it with pop-up dots. I then attached the snaps onto the chipboard, added some organza ribbon and placed the heart on top I made little color swatches from Disney Paint Chips and I used BOBARBO rubons to add the English, French & Swedish color words on them. I then got them laminated at Staples and I attached them with a bead chain. They fit perfectly inside the little band-aid tin!
